Narrative Therapy

Our clinic offers Narrative Therapy, an approach that aims to help people separate themselves from their problems, and reshape the stories they tell about their lives. Our narrative therapists sit together with you to support your journey in owning your story and finding confidence in your life.

Research shows that narrative therapy can help with a number of mental health concerns, including depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, self-esteem, and relationship conflicts. With a strong social justice lens, narrative therapy can also help challenge oppressive systemic beliefs, reframe understanding of cultural expectations, and gain control of discrimination experiences.

In therapy, you can expect to better understand your life experiences, and create a new interpretation that feels empowering and gives you back control of your narrative. Narrative therapy is specific to each person, as it depends on your unique story. Our therapists are trained to collaborate with you to discover an identity that fits who you are.
